The Basotho pony is not bred for spectacle, but for survival. Small, sure-footed and astonishingly resilient, it has carried generations of riders across the high mountain passes of Lesotho, through snow, mist, rock and river.

Shaped by altitude and necessity, this pony embodies endurance, intelligence and quiet strength. In a landscape where horses are not leisure but lifeline, the Basotho pony is both partner and friend.

In Faras, I want to honour not only its physical beauty, but its dignity- a horse forged by mountains, and inseparable from the people who ride it.
